This song started as a prayer about my friend Jackson but I soon realized it was also a song. I lost my first love and dear friend on June 8th, 2018 and many things haven’t been the same for me since. Jack is the reason I ever started writing songs in the first place and without him, I wouldn’t be who or where I am today. I’m so fortunate to his family for allowing me to not only write and release a song about him but to also allow us to use his guitars throughout this song. There’s something so magical about hearing them played once again. For me, this song is a memory of Jackson and all that he gave to me and others.
